Know Your Period is a campaign that pushes for comprehensive education regarding menstruation in all public California High Schools.
Comprehensive menstrual education is crucial to disrupting stigmas, providing proper information regarding how to handle periods and the effects that they can have on a person.
We are pressuring our state representatives, specifically Assemblywoman Lori Wilson. Currently AB2229 (the bill) is on suspense file in the Senate Appropriations Committee (the cost of the bill will be analyze before it passes)
Many menstruators receive forms of criticism about their period by various people in their lives. Stigma related to sexual and reproductive health has deep roots in society.
Together we can work to DE-STIGMATIZE Reproductive health!
